Our Policy

  • We aim to respond to all inquiries within 1 business day. Because we are currently short-staffed, there may be times when you may have to wait a little longer than usual.

Thrive Families: Please add missioncontrol@thrivemusic.ca (Thrive Mission Control) to your contacts list. All administrative questions (e.g. term dates, studio closures, tuition, class times, etc.) should be directed to Thrive Mission Control.

  • You are an indispensable part of Thrive’s Learning Ecosystem. Your involvement is essential to your child’s success.

    KINDERMUSIK PARENTS

Be fully present with your child to connect with them and follow their lead. Switch off all devices and leave toys at home.

    PIANO PARENTS

Attend your child’s weekly class, help with time management, encourage and coach your child with their home assignments as covered in class.

  • Enrolment is for the schoolyear (September - June) and includes weekly classes, student participation in concerts, parenting resources and workshops and additional members-only benefits.

    Late Enrolments

Enrolments after a class has begun are subject to a catch-up fee. This is to ensure that your tuition schedule works out to be the same as for everyone else.

    Enrolment Transfers

An enrolment may only be transferred to a sibling who is not already enrolled in a class AND if the class has not yet begun. Once a class has begun, transfers are not allowed. Transfers to non-siblings is not allowed at any time.

  • Tuition is spread out over 10 equal instalments.

At enrolment, you will be required to sign up for auto-recurring payments. Your credit card will be charged the 1st non-refundable tuition instalment to reserve your place in the class.

The 9 remaining instalments will be charged to your credit card on the 1st of each month Sept - May. The amount is always the same regardless of the number of lessons scheduled for the month.

If you enrol mid-year, your tuition will be adjusted after you enrol. So your first payment will likely be bigger than the usual monthly tuition instalment. This is because our enrolment system is set up to charge the same tuition for everyone in their programme on the first of each month.

In addition to your scheduled classes, your total tuition also includes access to Thrive events, parent consultations, Zoom access to your class, a class photos folder, weekly developmental emails, student certificates, student gifts and class materials. If you are enrolled in the Kindermusik programme, this also includes instruments and access to Kindermusik's digital library.

Any additional books will be invoiced separately.

    Late Enrolments

Enrolments after the last week of August may be subject to a catch-up fee. This is to ensure that your tuition schedule works out to be the same as for everyone else. The amount will have been adjusted to exclude the classes you’ve missed and will vary depending on when you enrol.

If you enrol AFTER classes have begun, your first tuition payment will be larger than the regular monthly tuition payment so that you can be on the same payment schedule as everyone else from the following month.

Kindly note that tuition for late enrolments will be adjusted so that the number of scheduled classes you have missed will be deducted from your total tuition - this is not the same as pro-rating.

    Late Charges

A late fee of $25 will be applied and access to classes will be denied to any family account that has an unpaid balance for more than 3 days. After 7 days, the enrolment will be cancelled. Subsequent re-enrolment for the same schoolyear will be subject to a $50 reactivation fee.

  • Stay home if you or your child are exhibiting any symptoms (e.g. cough, fever, runny nose, sore throat, etc.). Anyone showing up to their class with any of the above symptoms will be asked to leave. This is for everyone’s safety and peace of mind.

You are welcome to join. your class via Zoom if you are unable to come in-person.

For more details on how we ensure your family’s health and safety, please read ourHealth and Safety Policy.
